Entertainment Group is pleased to bring to the Southern Maryland peninsula a nationally sanctioned BBQ competition as featured on the Food Network and Destination America's BBQ Pitmasters. Southern Maryland Brew & BBQ is a three day festival featuring a variety of events, attractions, food and entertainment for those of all ages. The weekend is highlighted by a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) nationally sanctioned competition, craft beer and wine garden with 31 draught beers, wine from Port of Leonardtown and Slack wineries along with the best music festival around. The setting is the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds situated just sixty miles south of our Nation's Capital on Maryland's middle peninsula. Join us for a weekend packed with live music and games, unique craft vendors, delicious food and cold beverages.

Kansas City Barbeque Society, the world's largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts with over 19,000 members worldwide, has selected Southern Maryland Brew & BBQ as a host to one of its 450+ sanctioned BBQ competitions. Competing BBQ teams spend the weekend slicing, seasoning and sizzling pork, chicken and beef in hopes that their cooking will earn them a portion of the $16,500 in cash prizes and bragging rights on the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) BBQ Circuit. The competition decisions lie in the hands of the professional KCBS certified judges.
People's Choice...
Competitors have an opportunity to enter their meats in our truly blind people's choice competition for a chance at $1500 in prize money. This competition is judged by the public away from the competitor area without any knowledge of whose BBQ they are tasting. After trying all the entries participants will vote as they exit and our staff will tally the people's choice!
Beer Garden Under the Canopy Tents...
Southern Maryland Brew and BBQ Festival will be operating a beer and wine garden every day 10AM - Close. This open air area is perfect to sit down and catch a break while enjoying some food and alcoholic drinks. We provide large canopy tents for any patrons that would like to relax in the shade before heading to the next music event, food event, or competition. In addition to the beer garden, we will also be running a 3 day beer tasting competition for all local or Maryland brewing companies that will start Friday and run through the weekend.If you would like to showcase your brand or company at our beer garden tasting competition, we recommend trying this site, which is a local custom canopy tent business that provides tents and backdrops for festivals across the country. Southern Maryland Brew and BBQ Festival offers flexible display packages for vendors and local businesses so they can join in the fun. Tickets for the Beer tasting competition will be on sale at the box office when you enter the festival grounds.
